@barna_uk :
What krzysztof says in his post herebelow :
Citation:j'ai de la famille polonaise qui travaillait dans les mines de cagnac et qui vivent aux homps....il existe une association d'anciens aux homps
is that he's got some family (polish people) who were working in the mines in Cagnac les Mines, and who are still leaving in Homps, where, furthermore, there is an association of retired miners.
It might be worth for you trying to get in touch whith this association, usually these guys have records, pictures, stories, etc. On the top of that, the mine of Cargnac which has closed, is currently a museum with huge archives. Here are the contacts

Citation:jean pierre
There were 7 barna's births in the Tarn, (cagnac les mines) between 1941 and 1990
"Tarn" is a S-W France county where Cagnac is located, and what jean pierre mentions hereabove is pretty informative : it means that chances are that the people born within this period might be decents or related family of your Gran'Pa Teodor as well. Indeed, these 7 Barna's born in this specific region did not appear in there out of the blue !...
... there's even a
< Polish folk group > in Cagnac-les-Mines. This clearly indicates that polish decents in this town are still numerous ; there are even 4 polish decents members of the City Council at the Town Hall (Annie Swiatek, Denis Noworyta, Pascal Dabrowski, Patrice Norkowski).
Given this, getting some info from Cagnac might not be so difficult.
Just in case, I have conveyed your querry by e-mail to Mrs Swiatek ; let's see what she says.
